Architektur Biennale 2025
Architektur Biennale Venedig 2025
The Architecture Biennale in Venice – every two years a place of pilgrimage for architects, urban planners, landscape architects, sociologists and people who are interested in current developments in architecture and urban processes.
One of the central locations at the Biennale is the Arsenale. In the old warehouses, the shipyard and the numerous workshops, the theme of the respective Biennale is made tangible through a variety of exhibits.
This year, the exhibition focuses on important social challenges such as sustainability, climate change, social justice and technological innovation. It will showcase projects that focus on sustainable construction methods, environmentally friendly materials and innovative urban development concepts. The stated aim was to promote dialog about sustainable living spaces and present new approaches to sustainable architecture.
Unfortunately, the exhibition in the Arsenale is so overloaded with materials that a common thread, which could bundle the topics and summarize possible solutions for future problems, is not recognizable. This leaves a somewhat confused impression of the many different natural materials, the use of AI and the statistical analysis of our time. As long as we do not question economic consumer production in this context, there will be no vision of the future to save our planet – not even in architecture.
